There there 120-160 could only get one in 6 hrs, lots of marks, following but won’t hit .anytime get rid of the moon and no East wind.

Fished there last friday and saturday. 7 knock offs in 140 to 160 but no one was there. Ran deeper Saturday and marked fish but couldn't get them to take anything. The fish are there, just scattered.

Need to go to 600 feet to find active fish

600 or deeper is the ticket. 120-140 most of the marks are lakers. Charters are doing lots of lakers

Thanks for the reports, we set up in 245 and trolled our way to 600 lots of marks up high in 250-300 but know takers, as soon as we hit 600 a 25lber nailed a spin doctor and fly and ended up in the boat only bite all morning

When you targeted them are you fishing right off the bottom or the high marks I guess I wasn’t

Right off the bottom. And a slower troll. 1.5-1.8. Cowbells and Grease traps.

Fair haven this morning. Called it early with the big rollers. Managed two kings and had a few chewed up meat rigs when we cleaned up. Big one is 26 on my crappy spring scale. Taking it in to weigh soon.  Fished shallow. 100-150. The big king we ended up chasing down with the boat. Almost spooled

Ended up catching in 120 and 140 I think. We were down 50 on a rigger and a 250

copper. The official weigh in was 24.4. Meat rig and a plug.

Picked up nice mature in 100’ water on a spoon at 1.8 mph
The east wind messed the fishing up it’s been tough since Friday’s blow
Even 600’ was all messed up

I'll be fishing Fair Haven for the first time Thursday and Friday before Labor day.  Any thoughts on best place to launch and where to start would be appreciated.  Also is there a place to clean fish or have them cleaned? Thanks this site has been a big help!

THERE IS A STATE LAUNCH RIGHT BY THE CHUTE ON LITTLE SODUS BAY PROBABLY BEST PLACE TO LAUNCH. FOLLOW WEST BAY RD ALL THE WAY TO THE END. FISHING WAS TOUGH END OF LAST WEEK FROM THE EAST BLOW WE STILL MANAGED 7/14 MOST ACTION WAS OFFSHORE IN 600+ BUT EVEN THAT WENT TO S#%^ WITH THE BAD WIND. AS FAR AS CLEANING FISH YOUR ON YOUR OWN I ALWAYS CLEAN MY OWN.
