Light Jensen plastic cut bait rigs

Hey guys.

I know this may sound like a stupid question, but I’m having some issues with using the imitation cut bait rigs. With regular cut bait I usually put the treble hook near the bottom of the bait. I try and do the same thing with the imitation rig and it bends quite a bit almost folded in half. I’m trying to figure out where the best placement for the hook would be.

I put mine just behind the tail then I put a tooth pic in the small hole to keep the hook set
