Finally the right wind (northeast) for this groundblind this afternoon.

Apple tree in the corner with lots of apples on the ground.

Hoping the wind direction stays consistent but as light as it is that could be an issue. Fingers crossed!

Well I might have taken a day off from hunting but that doesn't mean I stayed out of the woods. Brought my kid out with me midday and moved a treestand. After deciphering what my cameras were telling me I went there on Wednesday after hunting all morning and did some quick scouting for the right tree. It was an absolute b*tch to hang but we got it done and that is what matters. The stand should really be a great one for gun/muzzleloader. It gives a better line of sight to cover the entire funnel with a gun. Ill be honest, I totally overlooked putting a stand there for the past 5 years and I have no idea why. I guess I'm always thinking stand placement and how they relate best to bow hunting. It will certainly be added to the 5-6 stand rotation for gun season. It was also placed for a southerly wind (SW, S, SE it doesn't matter) and I love having that option on this property when most of the sets are for northerly winds.

I may. Im certainly going to try to get caught up at work. We have 4 1/2 jobs to get done before the snow flies.

Hunter has only hunted a couple times this year. He's a college kid with apparently no time. LOL.

I hear rolling in it brings 180" deer to your shooting lanes!  :lol:
