Nice fish Nathaniel - congrats.   Here are some options for replicas I'd recommend for consideration:

Hans the Carver - http://hansthecarver.com/carvings/

Fittante Replicas - http://www.fittantereplicas.com/

LAX Replicas - https://www.laxreproductions.com/

Paul Czarnecki from LOU runs Tri-State Taxidermy - http://www.tristatetaxidermy.com/

If you are looking for a good Canadian option check out:

Advanced Taxidermy - https://www.advancedtaxidermy.com/fish/fish-gallery/

All of them do phenomenal work in my opinion.

Ive used Lax 2x and picked them up at shows which may not be possible this year (covid) but saved $200 shipping . I also know of 2 fish (not mine) that were damaged during shipping and had to be sent back to be fixed.

Local maybe best idea during these weird times.

Pic is of a 2020 fish damaged in the mailing process (crack in head) my buddy got in ohio which is largest for the state for 2020 so far.

This is another from Lax, hes quicker than Fittante but Fittante will paint your exact fish, Lax will get close. Lax is a lil cheaper also. Great catch, everyone who fishes deserves a mount on the wall imo. Congratulations!20201127_064755.jpeg

This is Katias fish, Lax again. Time to get mount back maybe also taken into consideration, Fittante is known to take a year or two, Lax is a few months usually.

I maybe mistaken but hasn't Blueye used both taxidermists, maybe he can chime in about time n painting? He has a couple of SUPER impressive mounts hes earned over the years!

Here is my Fittante mount - took a little longer than LAX but came out great IMO.  I've included some pictures of the shipping crate it came in as well.

My LAX mount is out at the cottage now and I don't have a picture of it with me.

A couple mounts done by LAX for Bob Walters of Water Wolf Charters that I also liked:

All wood walleye mount done by Hans the Carver (who does muskies as well) but was very impressed by this one:

Absolutely love the paint on that walleye!  Wow!!!  There's something about the shape of the head that is a hair off to my eye, but considering it's carved by hand I presume, it's simply magnificent artwork.  For all I know the head is a perfect representation of the actual fish, but not exactly like most of the eyes I get.  I'm definitely needing at least a fish or two from him.  I'll bet he could do an awesome tiger if his walleye is that amazing.

They are all incredibly well done. I have seen most of them in person. I was most impressed with the work of Hans The Carver. You really have to see his work in person and see the detail of every scale to fully appreciate it. Only then will you understand the cost.

I see what you mean about the head shape. It seems more rounded than it should be.
