Fished out of Deans this morning with Reel Doc. The laker bite is still as good as it has been.  Wire divers with paddle , green or white flies did most of the damage.Just a few fish on rigger spoons.Probably around a dozen fish . Fished close to four hours. The launch at Deans is real shallow. WE did not run any top lines. There was a stout west wind. Here is the best one released to fight another day.

Thanks for the trip Reel Doc ..

Compared to the last few trips out from both Deans and Taughannock, today the fish were in a much more active feeding mood.  Had to add this pic showing Stan was bringing in some heavy loads too!

Good going fellas. Hopefully you were hugging the west side today ...that wind was pretty stiff here anyway.

Never have fished in the winter before. Are they still 80-100 feet down?

100 plus was better in 100-140 fow.  Stayed on the West side and didn't mind the wind as the bite kept us busy until 10:30.   Bite slowed, wind felt colder and we were back in by 11:30.  Really a nice morning for January.....

Nice work!  I was out just for an hour or so late afternoon today, launched at Treman.  Pretty shallow getting out but made it ok with the motor tilted up.  Landed just one 7 lb laker, in only 10 fow on a stickbait.  A few days ago got a LL  near t falls about 20".  Always looking for those mildish winter days to get out there for a bit, so refreshing.
