Pacific Herring strips are approximately 5-6” long half with tails, half without. Packaged and processed to NYSDEC standards.

They caught plenty of fish for me last year! I bought a bunch last year and still have plenty for this year. I checked on mine last night....no freezer burn, looks like when I first got them!

They are brined and vacuum sealed, I keep mine in a cardboard box in the freezer, they will last as long as you want.

Yes perfectly acceptable. All of the cut bait you purchase has been brined in some fashion.

You can, definitely not necessary and would not recommend it on this bait, We worked for 6 years on the “recipe” with about 100 different combinations of chemicals, preservatives, etc to get it where it is now. It’s as indestructible as can be while still keeping all of the natural qualities of a piece of herring.

If you want to add color you can use fire dye, but fire brine will have no benefit since it’s already brined.

50/50 chance at getting more tails. If you’re that worried about it suggest you get the 6 packs. I can make them all tails if you want to pay $30/13.
