You guys coat your planer board line with anything to make it more slippery?Or just replace it when it gets old? Release clips don’t seem to be sliding like they should

Thanks, can’t help but starting to get things ready won’t be long now. Even though it’s snowing like hell out in front of my house right now

I am going to try using 1.5 inch aluminum carabiners on my releases this season, Thinking they will slide easy plus clip on and of quick as well. Has anyone tried them before?

Yes I've tried just about everything out there and when pulling just spoons off my big boards nothing compares to the amish releases even if you want to change the outside spoon they release easily without having to pull all of them in

Amish Outfitters has a spectra board towline that works well. Heavy for hard pulling boards.

I recently bought two 300' reels of the AO Spectra 500lb line. I have not put it on the reels yet

but I am looking forward to seeing how it performs and whether or not my clips slide easier.
