Never did it with j-pligs but use to run 2 kwik fish in the river sometimes. Would take hooks off first one and then tie a 8 inch pcs of line from first split ring to second one with the hooks. It would work pretty good some days and sometime I would get a bunch of hits that I missed. You also had to run that really slow, because they really wobbled all over the place

Haha...they would certainly wander.  I wonder if you put a single hook in the top lure would be smart or just be a PITA.  I was thinking about whether you would get a hit on the lead lure and miss it if you didnt have a hook.

After going to a seminar 10 or 15 years ago, I tied up a couple double j plug rigs like the original post.  You use the forward j plug as an attractor with no hook.  Pretty hard to get a hook on the front plug as it would tangle.  Ran it a few times on staggers- didn’t do much.  IMO j plugs dart around running one let alone two.

Thanks.  It was an interesting idea.  I thought it might mimic a flasher lure combo.  I dont necessarily get out enough to venture too far from tried and true.  Will keep it in mind on those days when you throw everything but the kitchen sink at them.

Good change of pace lure - tie one on a outside diver or as a tail gunner.  Some days the fish want something different and j plugs have taken plenty of kings.  Not just a late season lure either.
