Spring brown trout rod set up .

How do you all set up your rods . I have a med lite talora. It has 12 pound main to a small barrel swivel then 8 feet of 8 pound segar fluorocarbon leader to a small snap . Not sure on swivel and snap sizes .

Sounds like you have it rigged right. Use the the smallest snap you can get away with. For cranks when fishing BT I like these VMC snaps in size 00 - VMC Crankbait Snaps

Use quality ball bearing swivels [ ie expensive ] ! And if your are going to run j-11 or j-13 chartreuse Rapalas tie directly to the bait [ no snap ] imo !

i just tie the leader on with a uni to uni knot. just feels like it gives me a little more stealth.

I use the same set up, a little shorter on the leader (around 6’) so someone else doesn’t take the swivel into the guides.
