What do you guys use as line  for brown trout setups on Lake Ontario.  I have flouro for leaders so interested in brand and lb test for main line

12lb. Big Game.

I run my 25lb big game salmon rods and my 17lb walleye rods. I just use lighter leaders for the browns buy don't spool any just for browns.

17 lb. test is the lightest I would run with any derby type fishing ! If you want a great time run 6 lb. Mono off a 15 ft noodle rod !

Straight 20 lb. fluorocarbon or 20 lb. big game.

Main line I like a couple hundred feet of 12 lb Ande underneath my fluorocarbon leaders. 20 lb test under the 12 depending on reel capacity. Cheap and easy to replace the 12 and leaders every year or as needed during the season.
