Lakeshore Ponds

Anyone have any thoughts as to why fishing the ponds has been dismal to non existent.

General consensus is the water is so low that the fish can’t get in and out from the lake. Channel is ‘clogged’. That’s just what I read on here and IceShanty tho. Haven’t been out there myself.

With the run off the last couple days, the channels should blow open and the fish should be coming.  Now the issue in some of the ponds will be muddy water.  Just in time for the ice to go away.

Drove by today and here is what I found:

Cranberry - 20% open 

Long Pond - 25% open but a lot along edgemere Drive and a lot of guys fishing

Buck - 50% open

Yes.  Some perch and bullhead were being caught this weekend on Long Pond.  Cranberry was still dead according to the guys I talked with.  It should pick up any day now.
