For all you guys out there running braid for downrigger cables, how well do stacker releases work on the braid? Any problems with them sliding on the braid or releases not holding, as I know braid is much more slippery than wire? Thinking about changing from wire to braid on my Scottys, already know I would need to change the stop beads. Thanks.

The answer will in part depend on the particular release used.

Don't do it you will just have to change back because of the fleas .! I tried braid on riggers was a nightmare.

Just use the Chamberlain with the cable it will stay put until it hits rigger then slide down to downrigger ball.

I use it with wire Don. I'm still old school. I have used braid on one rigger in the past and switched back to wire...just me:lol:
