Hey all. I am looking at getting out in the next couple weeks and trolling for the Trout. I know guys talk about using green flys. Are you using those with dipsy divers? Also, if anyone wants to share how the bite is, I’ll take what I can get lol.

Two types of flies used: trolling flies, and streamers - each a different presentation. The trolling flies are usually run either behind a dipsy diver  using an attractor in front of the fly such as a Spin Doctor or flasher or the older dodgers and are made from mylar, tinsel, or other lightweight reflective material. The streamers are slightly larger versions of the type of fly used with flyrods and trolled subsurface usually with small amount of weight on leader  in front of it on conventional setups without a dipsy trolled at distance from the boat often in shallower water situations or slightly below surface or on it out deep. Thus they are two very different approaches to trolling. In the Fingers green and white seem to be effective colors for trolling flies but it all depends on fish moods too:smile: The streamers are designed to imitate or represent hatches of insects or the very young of fish.

OR you can make your own subject to your own imagination:lol:
