Sandy Creek Pen Rearing Fish Arrival

Just an update to the Sandy Creek Pen Rearing project:

As planned we will again receive 15,000 Steelhead. 7500 will be direct stocked into the creek and 7500 will be placed in pens.

The fish will be arriving on Thursday April 2nd. The truck will be at the state launch at noon for the direct stocking and then proceed to Sandy Creek Marina for transferring the remaining 7500 into the pens.

Everyone is welcome to come and observe both stockings. The kids really get a kick out watching these fish being stocked.

If you wish to volunteer for a feeding please contact Bob Holden 503-3303 and he will be glad to assign you a feeding time. The fish are fed every two hours between 8am and 6pm. There are still open feeding times available.
