Looks like the lake level is going to be dropping. IJC drew the lake so low that the river is now low. Montreal Harbor is at record lows. May 1st the outflows are increasing to raise the river for shipping. And the rain we have gotten won't do anything because most of the rivers and streams are still low.

so the plan is to let water out to raise downstream levels in order to get ships upstream ..Are they then going to raise the lake levels as the ships move above the Saunders dam to help them on their way???  Makes no sense. Maybe the shipping lanes are deeper further upstream?  I thought sea levels are rising downstream?

Where is Bill Reilich on this, ??!!??  After all, he was appointed as a "voice" for the southern shoreline property owners and business interests. He should be able to provide background and timely information on IJC actions/decisions:  https://www.ijc.org/en/ijc-appoints-greece-town-supervisor-bill-reilich-its-international-lake-ontario-st-lawrence-river

Where are the stream guys on this?  Last fall was a joke for the salmon and brown run because of low water levels in the stream.  Yes they have to increase outflows now to get the ships through because there was no snow pack up north to speak of.  They should have realized this by the beginning of February and reduced outflows then.  Unreal. IJC are morons.

The Mount Morris and Rushford dams are full to the top now due to high rainfalls. This could help raise Lake Ontario water level.
