Picked up this trophy in close before heading out for a few Lakers yesterday. Didn't quite have the fight left in him. Pretty sure if it had an address it would be directly in

front of the nuke plant discharge pipe. Tasted delicious nonetheless. jk :)

I got one in the River not as bad, but same fin & tail detioration. Also gills were light pink & little detiorated.

May need to report to make sure not disease ?

Sounds like gill lice. We had a huge infestation here on the north shore a couple of years back . Very few if any fish survive-gills have thousands of lice and turn pink and then white. Fish cant breath, its pretty much game over if they catch it.

Yeah pretty impressive that fish is still out chasing down spoons.  Those wounds look like they’re from gravel, but handling fish with gloves on in the creek can remove slime and make them susceptible to infections.

I have seen where late in the year steelies still kicking around the tribs get chased by smallies making beds they would work over the tail as well and with fins if there's an infection they rot away quick
