XM WX Satellite Weather

Anybody out there running XM Satellite weather on their boat? It looks really, really cool. Looks like you'd have to interface with a Garmin unit at this point to be able to get it?

I use accu wheather on my cell phone and it gives me live doppler radar. I can see storms coming, while im out on the water. Its a small screen obvously but very usefull especially in the spring time spring time.

Yeah, this weather is through XM radio, but it's a different subscription than the radio is. It looks amazing...much better than standard radar. Just wondering how it's gonna work in real life out on the water.

Yeah,it looks nice,The great feature of it is that it will give you all the lake surface temps,nice when your looking for the good temps to fish.

It also gives the city forecasts,wave heights wave direction,storm cell tracking,and lots more,all in real time.

I thought about it for my project boat,but i also would like Radar.Radar of course would show boats,pierheads etc,so what to do?

Can't afford both,so it's going to be a tough decision.
