Going to be in Hilton NY for my sons archery tournament next Friday and Saturday. Is there anywhere close to there that would be good to take him to cast from shore for Browns? If so what would be a few good suggestions for casting spoons to use. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hamlin Beach State Park ten miles west.
The pier in area 1 is perfect as long as wind is favorable.

The piers at Oak Orchard are IMO the best . 25  min west on the parkway

If the wind is from the west , get on the east pier . If its from the east , get on the west

Krocidile spoons in the smaller sizes are my best . Cleos 1/3 or 2/5 oz   . Silver blue, green or Orange .

Also stickbaits and rattletraps  work if the water is stained .

Don't forget the net .
