shockers for dual boards

Do many people use a bungee type shocker on their dual boards as a general practice?

I don't, and I found the need for them even less when I went to 150# test mono for a tow line.

There is enough "stretch" in the mono to prevent problems.

Never used a snubber on the boards, but put a spring between the pulley and I-bolt. Worked great. The spring is similar to the kind on a screen door, and about 6" in lenght. Also keeps, good tension on the towline when up and running.

I bought a pair of Fishlander planar board snubbers. Tried them once and they caused my boards to lag back considerably further in the same seas. I use rail mount planar board reels and my rails are quite sturdy so they went in the "oh well" tackle pile.
