First week of august west end

How is the fishing from the bar to olcott the first week of August? I dont mind going off shore a bit just wanna make sure there is still fish around that time.

Well that's good to hear I guess.. how far out are the fish typically? And I'm guessing more toward olcott. We were there a few weeks ago but docked in wilson and ran down toward the bar to fish

All depends on how the lake sets up, it's been good at 100 or 500, usually we fish in the 350 range then.

To me that's getting late. But this year, all bets are off, seems like it was slow start do maybe it will be good. That's usually when I fish Erie for Walleyes out of Catt Creek.

Thanks I'm also able to trailer over to oak orchard since it's only about a half hour away if the bite is better there.

There are Always fish off Olcott somewhere - I wouldn’t be apprehensive about fishing there or Wilson to The bar. More kings East for sure but still enough around. I always take off the few days before Labor Day Plenty of kings inside and you can always run to the deep- Every year is different but fish are fish.
