Usually start up when the water temps are in the mid sixties or so.

Fished Keuka Sunday, had a few on line toward the surface were the water was about 62-63. Not bad enough to get out the flea flicker line yet.

If they are thick enough they can attach to anything including 150 lb downrigger cable. If not that thick usually problem  is at line connections. The fishhook fleas are the worst and hardest to get off the lines.

Was def a lot of cottonwood out over the weekend.  Looked like it had snowed when I pulled into Myers point.  Water temp was 58 when we started ....62 when we left.
