Sodus Area Info?

Has anyone fished in or around Sodus in the last few days?

any information to share would be appreciated, making an trip up to start the season this week.

Been hit or miss. Lotta bait around and a lot of very full fish. However the steelhead and coho bite’s been decent with a king sprinkled in from day to day. 100-300 FOW. Steelhead and cohos been coming on free sliders on riggers anywhere from 50-90 and copper/cores in just about ever inch of the column with 25-40 feet being our hot depth. Typical greens and orange’s depending on the day. They’re there, just gotta gettem to wack something. Good luck!

Pappy:  where do you plan to launch?  Last report I saw on here was that the water level was so low that the launch next to Arnies Marine was unusable.

I launched this morning at the public launch right past Arnies. I would not recommend launching there, it’s tough.

i have a 23’ Cuddy style, you couldn’t put outdrive down, had to paddle out a bit.

had to get in the water putting in and taking out

not sure about other options

Only fished for a couple hours, one bait pod at about 125’ with a couple of fish , looked like a laker deal, fished out to 225, headed back. No other bait, and only a couple of marks

no hits

talked to one other guy putting boat away, his comment was “it’s been brutal”
