Opening of bass

Took my wife for our annual opening day outing. We had to do some searching and caught them a little deeper than normal. My wife took the big fish of the day with a 19”.

Since we kept them I was glad to see only one still had eggs.

Sunset Bay on Erie this morning. Handful of bass, handful of sheepshead, and a bonus walleye on Ned Rigs and Berkeley Max Scent bodies.

Nice catch Kevin!! I fished father’s day with my son. We hunted and pecked for a bit but ended up getting on a bunch of fish. Lots of action but most fish were in the 11-13” range. Also got on a nice school of jack perch. Great day on the water. Hope u had a good father’s day. Cheers. Esox.

Looks like a fallfish.  I would think a musky would love to chomp one of those.

I did catch a smaller one 2 years ago and a pike smashed it next to the boat. Wouldn’t let go until he saw the net… it was pretty cool to see
