Heading out this aft from the Genesee..

My question is, Does a south wind typically push the good water out (deeper)?

Looks like we have a 10-15 mph today due South.

A sustained South wind (along the south shore) generally pushes warmer surface water out and colder bottom water usually comes in towards shore.

Let us know how you do and what water Temps you find. I am going in the am and was wondering the same. Will likly drop the probe shallow and see what is happening unless you leave us a good report. Thanks and stay safe. Looks bumpy out there today

We fished Olcott this morning absolutely terrible grass everywhere 2 ft waves with the occasional three even though the weatherman said one foot or less Shoreline was flat. But once you got to about 75 ft that's they kicked up quite a bit we quit early. Bah humbug

I think this Year has totally stunk for the high winds, waves, and poor fishing. I Know that's fishing, but with our very short summers, it disappointing. I'm moving to Texas in the early spring, and I hope the gulf coast fishing provides more days on the water available.
