Coaxed my 11 yo onto the boat with a promise to start our trip with the bass bite. By 6pm we motored west out of the bay and trolled from 160-125’. Changed our spoon program twice before we settled at 80’ over 125’ where bait was unusually deep. Had a ball coaching my first mate on the finer points of landing a major. Learned a good lesson myself which was to use neutral to close the deal.
