Minn Kota Terrova Batteries

What batteries would be best for a 24v. 80lb. thrust Minn Kota Terrova?  Can't afford lithium. What are you guys using for the 12 volt batteries? Thanks.

I'd go with 31 group deep cycle batteries.

Thanks for the reply. I was kind of thinking that way too. Any suggestions on brand of battery or whether to go sealed AGM gel or just regular wet cell batteries. There are so many brands out there. Thanks again.

Don’t know where you are, but Battery World, east malloy rd Syracuse or Yorkville Battery have blemish group 31s at great prices. They get all of my business.

Honestly I've always used the Everstart Maxx from walmart (Lead-Acid). Haven't had any issues with them and regularly get 4-5yrs out of them, for less than $100 each thats always been good enough for me.

Thanks for the replies. I went with two lead acid flooded batteries from O'Reilly Auto Parts.  Appreciate all the input I got from this site.
