Hauling 12 foot boat in a 6 ft bed truck good idea or not 2hour ride? Looks like about 4ft will hang off the back. Will I have any problems on the throughway?

judging from some of the more weird things going down the thruway, probably not. tie it in good though. Flat bottom? throw something in the cab end to keep it from tippin out. Rubber mats under the hull would be good too.

I have done it just put a flag so some A$$ does not hit you in the A$$. make sure you strap the back of the boat towards the front of the truck and aslo strap the bow down to. oh yeah I almost forgot where and when will you be moving it?......so I can make sure I keep clear lol  just kidding you should be fine good luck

ratcheting tie downs should hold it secure, turn over for less drag when at high speeds unless your passengers need the seating space.

Ya thanks for the info figured it would be ok. Just makes me feel better knowing its been done with out worring about any flying boats.

I do it all the time, Put the tail gait down strap in good and you should be fine. I keep it right side up to store all of the gear, I wouldn't be to concerned with wind drag, I am sure there is still a lot when its upside down

Make sure you tie a flag on the end of it. Never know that a$$hle may be a trooper that's having a bad day.
