Have you guys done better for pike with a daredevle or Johnson silver minnow and for the minnow with or without a trailer and with a trailer like a curly tail grub how do you rig them as I have seen several different ways

Both of those spoons catch fish but I suggest the 4” red eye wiggler. Nickel.gold, and 5 of diamonds are best for me. And the fish don’t care when the eyes get bit out which they will.

We used to take tons of daredevils up to Canadian outpost pike lakes n do outstanding. Johnson silver minnows didnt do half as well for us plus I trust a treble hook on the daredevil many times more than a plated single hook that was hard for us to sharpen on the johnsons.

Treble doesn’t matter pike love daredevles more then bass like senkos and if the hook is good it will get hooked

We used to fish the St Lawrence for pike .

Our best was a red and white 1 oz daredevil . Followed by a Mepps Cyclops for spoons . They were heavy and got down to the 15 to 20 ft depths we fished .
