trolling motor hook up

Iam trying to hook up a trolling motor to a 24 volt system, on the back of the female plug in has # 1 #2 and # 3 , on it, on the plug it has 3 wires, on the trolling motor it has 2 wires coming off motor, can any one help, Thanks for your time
