Can I use my controls off of my 40hp tohatsu on a 75hp mariner

I'm just guessing here but i doubt it would work. do they have the same electrical hook up? and i doubt the shifter length is the same on the 75 hp motor. but maybe someone with a little firsthand knowledge will chime in.

The controls themselves are usually quite generic, but you may need different sized cables with ends that fit the the mariner

Controls.....most likely. Electrical...a good electrical guy who can read schematics can rig it but it wont be plug and play.
