Good start

Been out four or five times so far. Have had my daughter out on the ice since she was 2. She can really crank fish now. This season feels like it’s going to be a banger!

Brings back memories......had my son ice fishing at 2 1//2 and we are still doing it together nearly 40 years later

Tried to get the kid her first ice walleye, had a few lookers, but buddy did get a decent laker for entertainment last night. She dropped two nice ones last year. Gunna get it done this year.

Watching gar swim under the ice in 27’ foot today. Lots of weird/mixed action today.

Some truly bad conditions tonight, not much hope but out here. Happy to have the shack sitting in one place with this wind. Hunting big eyes. Here’s the bait for this evening:

Buddy Got one loss one on tipups. Turned on late after dark when wind died. I had everything but fish finder put away and finally marked a fish. Hurriedly unpacked a Rod and sent a rattle bait down and I broke my line on the hook set. Way too short a leader, couldn’t take the shock, huge mistake. First three hours in the brutal wind without a mark zapped us and I had to leave after snapping off. Pure dejection. Love the Golden Crescent though, be back tomorrow night.
