Bear Creek Harbor launch construction

For anyone that wonders what the status of the Bear Creek launch is.  I spoke to the Town of Ontario yesterday.  They estimate the launch will not be open until Memorial Day.

Appreciate the heads up - although that will put a damper on my spring BT fishing, bummer.

Yeah that’s why I called them. Closest launch east is Hughes closest west is I bay. Good luck

Would love to see a kiosk put in so it's possible to get a launch pass any time and not have to go out of the way

Hughes is often not really open for the super early going. Lot's of times there is a snow pile in front of launch so check it out 1st.

Looks like it might be better than trying to jump down into the boat as it's bouncing around against that old concrete wall and railing!

Jeez, we used to think nothing of running to Ginna from the Coast Guard Station at Sodus in Feb back in the day!

Looks like nice work, thanks for the pictures.  Those port-a-dams are pretty slick.  Just don't use them in a freestone river when it floods after a hurricane. lol
