Lots of boat questions lately. Thanks to everyone for your help. Next one...my boat has a battery to start the motor. My electronics are also plugged into this one battery. However, I have a kicker that I'll be running while trolling and running electronics (while my main motor is off). What do I do so I don't drain my main battery? Buy another to have onboard? Connect 2 in series? Again thanks in advance for help anyone can give me.

as long as your kicker has a charging system, you don't have to do anything.
but if not, your going to want to install another battery that's deep cycle and isolate it with a perko switch. that second battery will be your electronics battery, your original battery will only be for starting your main motor. then you can charge the second when the main motor is running

The kicker doesn't have a charging system. I do have a perko switch but it's just an on/off for the one battery. I see they make switches with multiple on/off settings. Maybe it'll be on YouTube.

See the diagram below and in the following link.  Add-A-Battery Kit - 120A

This system keeps both batteries charged automatically, but isolated so your start battery does not get discharged by your electronics.  The switch is ON/OFF/BOTH.  BOTH is only for emergency if your start battery is low for some reason.
