I'd think the regulations from the lake to the first barrier upstream still stands otherwise they would have announced a more specific change.

 

Also, why does the DEC close walleye season on Skaneateles? Surprised they don't keep it open year round if they want those walleye out of there.

Man. I didnt even notice that. Figured it would.be open all year too. Get them out of the lake.. but give them time to spawn and reproduce. ?? That dont make sense.

The full guide is out now I am relieved there are no changes to the trout in the finger lakes and tribs. But I hope people aren’t confused by the publicized statewide changes as applying to finger lakes because I have seen people fishing in a closed creek this winter and told them it’s closed, they didn’t know

Asked some guys about this in the southern tier traditional year long creeks, and they said they were fined for fishing in tribs this winter misunderstanding the law. I think we have a few years of strange seasons upon us.
