I will be traveling to Henderson Bay for week of fishing for walleye, browns, perch, and pike  next month (May).  I grew up in the Finger Lakes Region fishing streams, rivers, and lakes, but never fished Lake Ontario…go figure.  Anyway, I procured a good selection of spoons, but none came with split rings on the leader end. My question for those of you who are LO regulars should I put split rings on or not?  We will be trolling with downriggers and planerboards.

Thanks in advance for your wisdom and advice.

Respectfully

I don't use split rings on spoons unless the come with one.

A good rounded end duo lock snap allows for plenty of action..
