Went out for a troll around 1:00 from the South Shore launch.  Lake was pretty quiet by then.   Water temp was about 48 degrees, east wind, wasn't expecting much.  Steady pick after 3:30 and ended up with 6 in two hours, all keepers.  Every fish came on a Bare Naked Reef Runner that was running down about 18 feet, over 25 to 28 fow.  Not sure how to rotate a pic I guess.

We were out until 3:30 from south launch and did some trolling the last bit.  We picked up 2.  Can I ask you what speed you were trolling?  Just starting to learn trolling for walleye.

We boated 7 in 2 hours, Trolling stick baits. Speed 2.0-1.8 Depth of lure 15. ft at 45 ft. off the boards. Out of 6 rods only one caught the 7 fish, Custom painted flicker minnow.  Named the lure. Sea sick.

Thanks for sharing.  I was only running 1.6 so I'll try speeding up a bit.  It's fun learning and when you do start connecting.

I owe Mike Weaver for having pity on me ten years ago when I started fishing Oneida.  He put me on to that Reef Runner it has been my best ever since.   Just paying it forward I guess.  Plenty of fish in Oneida for everyone anyway.
