Weeds on Cayuga??

After the busy weekend, has anyone been out and willing to share how the weeds are?  Last year I remember them being very bad due to all the extra boat traffic. Looking to get out this Saturday.  I’ll be mad if my new line minimizes fleas only to be stymied by weeds.

Welcome to Summer fishing.....  Weed pods seem to float around completely random .  At least on a slow fishing day if a line hits one you get an instant of excitement thinking a big fish is on!!

Trolled around the northern basin over the weekend.  Fleas were really, really bad in front of Deans Cove.  better on the east side and not horrible north by the silos.  Did not notice bad weed mats.  Some areas had some stragglers floating but not so bad to ruin the troll.  Fish were tight lipped and about the only consistent success was getting over them and jigging the first couple hours of the morning.

Monday report: fished south of long point weeds were so so. Enough to be annoyed but not awful. Fleas required line cleaning every 30 mins with 25 lb main line

Weeds were bad Saturday and Sunday on east side of lake near taughannock. Mostly fished west side just keep weeds of the line. Fleas were worse though

Fished N, E side of deans yesterday. Weeds were fine, fleas were out of control. Blood run sea flea got loaded, same w 19 strand on dipsy divers. Caught 2 lakers on flasher fly then went bass fishing. Saw some weed pods SE of Deans.
