Could anybody hazard a guess as to how long the guides on a pair of 7' Taloras w/ twilis will last running 30# malin wire? If I use these rods w/ mag dipsies 1-2 days a week will the guides and or the wire last the season?

I've got 2 wire divers rods on daiwa heartlands with twilli tips that are 7 or 8 years old with no wear issues. Wire on the reels is currently 4 years old, prolly should change it, but haven't had any break offs, so I'm gonna see what this season brings.

Got 2 Daiwa Heartlands, NO twili tips, this is season 3, the guides are still in good shape. These have lasted way longer than the original roller eagle claw rods I had before that these Heartlands replaced.

I've used mine for the past 4 years with no problems. Just replaced the tips with twillys over the winter just for the fact it cuts the fleas off with no messing around. Just keep an eye on the guides and you'll know when it's time. Good luck

We have a pair of Daiwa heartlands that are around ten years old and the wire hasn't done any damage yet. They also have twilli tips on them.
