What’s your preference mag or regular?

Mags for low divers and regular for high divers. I run Chinook #5 for low divers and #4 for high divers

We run DW Deeper Divers in size 4 about 95% of the time. I may go to a mag, or #5, if currents are bad and my #4 isn't diving great.

What Rick said above - we run the Size 4 Deeper Divers most of the time - have been running them since they were Walker Deeper Divers - love the crisp release on them versus the mushy/sticky release on most other offerings.

I run what Zinger runs.... #5 Chinook as low and #4 Chinook as high.

I used to run mags inside and regulars w/ ring outside but I’ve gotten away from it . The mags are tough on everything at 3mph . I still use mag slide divers on Erie but speed is lower

On regular dipseys do you guys figure 3 to one ratio on wire

That's a good starting point. I'd say in the first 100' it's closer to 2.5:1 and as you get farther out it moves up to 3:1.

No problem, and this info was learned with my Smart Troll system. So, I'm not just talking out my rear end....lol However, currents dictate dive curves more than anything.
