15th annual Labor Day Weekend run. Last run for the old 16 misty harbor. Picked up an old angler 180 dc for next project. Looking forward to taking 2 grandsons out next week. Always enjoy the " small craft advisories " this time of year. Good luck to all. Keep it tight!

Thanks Hornet. Been a good run. She'll be ready for next season. Total refit last yr on the Misty, she's a fishing machine. Wanted to get something for striper, and salmon. Maybe I can get past the 150 now. See you on the pond.

Where's all the Mexico reports?

Awesome, I just got back from striper fishing and got it done aboard my old faithful haha.  Hopefully going out for salmon in the next couple of weeks.

Long range forecast looking decent for Mexico bay this coming labor day weekend. Hopefully the lake has settled into some kind of thermo, and not 70° out to 150. Any Intel would be appreciated.

Crickets.

Fished today in front of big river . 140-120 fow , down 80-100 ft . FF. 1 ft or less today . Ended day with 4 kings. Got blown off around 3:00. More like 3-6 ft waves. Never trust the marine reports.

Awesome, definitely worth the trip. Never seem to know what the water will look like until you’re on it.  Got all my rods and gear organized and ready to roll as soon as my wife wants to get out there.

Fished this morning in front of the river . The west wind from yesterday, pushed 73 degree water in Mexico bay . Went 2-3 , 1 brown and one king in the warm water .

What vhf channel are guys on while out there?

This time of year hand signals work fine. Either a wave or the middle finger. 😆

I used to use my paddle back in the day 😉 but I’m hoping to start out in deeper water to get my wife on some steel or maybe a fresh salmon. We’ll slide in tighter if it doesn’t go as hoped.
