Steel is more supple, easier to deploy and more forgiving in a tangle... Make sure you get the termination kit. Will never use copper again. I have used blood run and torpedo , don't see a difference

No comparison. Weighted steel is the only way to go. You don’t really need a termination kit though. I go Albright from braid to weighted steel then Albright from weighted steel to a short piece of power pro and then Albright to mono leader. If you don’t like Albright from braid to mono leader then tie the braid to a small spro swivel and then mono to swivel. I do it both ways and haven’t seen much difference. I do use 50lb braid.

After a dumb move on my part over the weekend I am down to one 300 copper . Thinking about setting up my other rod with steel instead of copper. Pros and cons?

Just keep in mind that Steel does not achieve the same depth as 45# copper. This is something that has been very misleading to some. It has a similar dive curve to 32# copper.  And honestly if you are looking for "ease of use" 32# copper is much more user friendly than 45#.

Does steel go as deep as copper? What would the drop be? is there a corrosion problem with steel?

I use copper now and was comparing.

Thank you
