Rain has me on the sidelines this morning. Gonna sit out the am and hunt the pm.

BBD for Toms friend. Hit it last night and found it this morning. Coyotes beat us to it but still a great recovery.

Shot was a little low and forward. They let it sit a few hours and bumped it around midnight.
Went back this morning after a heavy rain and I got lucky and found it in the middle of a standing cornfield while they were looking for blood and tracks.
Better to be lucky than good.

November 6 pm
73 degrees
Partly sunny
WSW wind 5-12 mph

Pretty quiet afternoon on stand. Snuck in there about 1230 and never saw a deer (fawn by itself) until 430. About 5 I had a 2.5 year old 7 pt come through that I have seen almost every time I have hunted this property so far this year. Had another deer come through in the dark just before getting down.

Note: scrapes have been untouched for 3 days except for one massive scrape near the stand.
