No idea what’s available over there but we did google hunting leases in southern Iowa and you can get a good idea of what things are ..

 Bill Johnstone was a friend that I worked with at kodak. He passed away yrs. ago from cancer of the esophagus. Ken Frearson is his cousin.

First time I saw this post just now, what a fun read!

 

Kinda got suspenseful in the end then the Big Buck Down post and the photo WooHoo!  

 

Awesome experience and congrats for toughing out that arctic blast.  Thanks for sharing.

 

Impressive how thick those Iowa bodies are this late into the season, WNY bucks are pretty thinned out post rut.

It was a incredible trip , and she pulled a muscle as the two of us drug him up a steep slope. The saga continues lol..

Bill was my BF back in the day we hunted and fished alot together when he was alive. Now i fish with his sun Brandon all the time. They sure do look alike!

This is the first one she couldn’t make a good shot on . Came in at 10-15 yards from blind sure he heard us moving and smelled heater I was sad to see him walk away also but had to keep it together for her
