Brian - were the pipelines dug out & buried in the lake bottom or drilling just for the foundations for the cribs?  Navigation maps show pipelines.  They also show depth over cribs which is considerably different than surrounding depth, which implies intake is not on bottom of lake.  Offshore windfarms that I've looked up did not bury transmission lines.

Webster was a channel drilled through the bedrock.  There is a crib on the lake bottom and the channel comes up through the bedrock into the crib.  There is no piping.  The facility in Greece has a pipe on the lake floor and a crib at the end.
