8) We blasted west from I-Bay for a change scenery and it was definitely the right move. The silvers were active out deeper this evening in 90-115 fow. Surface temp was 49-50 deg. at all depths. . We were able make all of the set-ups work tonight. We took two kings in the high teens to twenty lbs. on the dipseys. NBK and the habenero 28's on a two setting about 110-135 ft. out. Speed was 2.6-2.9. A NW troll direction seemed to be the best tonight. We took a nice "bow on a 4 color leadcore(the sea lion special) on a copper stinger off the boards. We took several more kings in the low teens. One off the rigger down about 40-50 ft. on a purple and silver NK-28 and the other off the dipsey(another NBK in Green). We did not mark many fish until we ranged out to 105 or deeper. The only set up that did not fire was a deep diver minnow bait off the boards. Nice calm seas and some smoking drags always are a nice way to end the week or start the weekend ! Venture off the beach boys ! We were the only boat out, as apparently everybody else headed to the Niagara Bar ! Stay an extra week up there if you can. We like the solitude ! Get out and catch a big one !
